Can’t Sleep – Some handy tips for sleepless nights

Partner snoring? Just can’t sleep or you can’t stop worrying about something? There’s nothing worse than tossing and turning in the middle of the night unable to sleep.

Some recommend that if you just cannot get to sleep to get out of bed and go to another room. But what if you are in a hotel room or there is nowhere to go? Or you simply want to get some sleep. Disturbing your partner isn’t a good idea.

One solution is to plug in the headphones at bedtime so that when you wake up you don’t disturb your partner. Tune in to talk radio, setting the timer, this should help you to relax or forget your worries and to drift off to sleep

Try listening to relaxing music or catch up on a podcast you have previously downloaded. There are many available from your favourite radio shows. There’s a wide variety available.

If you don’t own a kindle then reading a book could disturb your partner if you put the light on. Try listening to an audio book, there are hundreds of thousands available.

You’ll be surprised how easily you fall asleep when you clear your mind and listen to something else.
